Motorola Launches FR Series Mobile Phones in India

Motorola recently launched its FR series mobile phones in India touted as the rough and tough mobile phones. The two latest launches in the Motorola FR series dubbed Motorola FR68 and Motorola FR6000 are expected to increase productivity in number of businesses such retail, health care, logistics, transportation, utilities, manufacturing and public safety.

Both the Motorola FR68 and Motorola FR6000 mobile phones are equipped with a 3G world cell phone, an integrated GPS with superior sensitivity and tracking capabilities, 1D bar code scanner, 3G wireless WAN (WWAN), wireless LAN (WLAN), wireless PAN (WPAN) and IrDA connectivity among many others.

In addition Motorola will also provide its FR series customers' service from the first day of the hardware purchase. The scheme includes broken displays and keypads to damages of internal and external components. However, the repair is covered only while the plan is active.

Motorola Country Head & Indian sub-continent Sales Director, Mr. Jayant Rastogi informed that the mobile phone has been approved break-proof and the keypad has passed the stress-test for a million taps. Impact testing across the operating temperature range has been carried out to ensure the Motorola FR6000 and Motorola FR68 performs reliably despite inevitable everyday drops.

Both the Motorola mobile phones will be available later this year and are expected to cost between Rs. 70,000 and Rs. 1,00,000.
