Nokia Launches 6600i: Its Smallest Slide Mobile

Nokia has revamped the Nokia 6600 slide mobile. It is now called the Nokia 6600i Slide. Unlike its predecessor it is not a funky looking mobile phone yet has advanced features that make it an ideal buy.

The improved features include a 5 megapixel camera; embedded in the Nokia 6600i Slide. The earlier version was equipped with a 3.2 megapixel camera. With the newly introduced camera, the Nokia 6600i slider is the smallest 5 megapixel slider mobile till date.

Nokia 6600i slide has an improvised brushed steel cover and chrome center key that makes the handset look elegant. The unique tap commands bring the display to life and can be utilized to snooze alerts and silence or reject incoming calls.

The other features include a 2.2 inch TFT LCD display with 16 million colors, 5 megapixel in-built camera with dual flash and Micro SD card support of about 16 GB. For music lovers there is the FM radio and connectivity features include Bluetooth with A2DP, USB 2.0 and 3.5 mm audio input. The estimated price of Nokia 6600i slide is about Rs. 12,972/- (EUR 200) inclusive of taxes and subsidies. It is expected to ship in select markets in the third quarter of 2009.
