Sony Ericsson W205 & W395: New Walkman Music Phones Unveils in India

Sony Ericsson has added two new handsets, Sony Ericsson W205 and Sony Ericsson W395 to the popular Walkman range of music handsets. The music phone feature seems to be Sony Ericsson's forte and is proven by the new launches.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Sudhin Mathur, General Manager, Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications India said, "Being the pioneer in the music phone category, our 'Walkman' phone range has universally been lauded for the quality music experience offered. The basic premise behind the launch of the affordable Sony Ericsson W205 and Sony Ericsson W395 Walkman phones is to further extend this experience to those who love portable music but have never had the Walkman phone experience."

The all new Sony Ericsson Walkman phones are a welcome change to music aficionados that enjoy listening to music while on the move. Sony Ericsson W205 is equipped with Walkman player, FM radio with recording option and TrackID music recognition. It enables users to share the handset with family and friends and the multiple phone book option allows users to create personalized contact lists. The other features embedded in Sony Ericsson W205 include 1.3 MP cameras, Bluetooth functions, FM radio with recording options, 1.8 inch display screen, M2 card support up to 1GB and features like GPRS and EDGE.

The other music phone, Sony Ericsson W395, is slightly more advanced. It has a set of dedicated control keys for managing music, 1GB memory card and FM radio. This is a high end version and is embedded with HPM -62 stereo headphones, TrackID and 2.0 inch TFT LCD with 256k colors. The other features of Sony Ericsson W395 include a 2 mega-pixel camera, motion gaming support, Bluetooth which works with A2DP, in-built stereo speakers with GPRS & EDGE, FM radio, Motion gaming, PlayNow, 1 GB memory card and M2 card support.

The newly launched mobile phones enable users to share the handset with family yet maintain privacy. Both the music phones are bundled with 1GB memory cards. The price of Sony Ericsson W205 and Sony Ericsson W395, Walkman phones are estimated at Rs. 5,795 /- and Rs. 8,395 /- respectively and they are available at all leading outlets across the country.
