Samsung Launches Pixon12 M8910: 12MP Camera Phone in India

Samsung launches their first handset with a 12MP camera and full touch screen functionality. The Samsung Pixon12 (M8910) is packed with a host of functions that enable users to capture pictures and browse or share their images.

Speaking at the launch of Samsung Pixon 12, Sunil Dutt, Country Head, Samsung Telecom Division said "The Pixon 12 is another example of the Samsung's commitment to developing ground breaking products based on consumer needs. Speedy access to the camera mode, fast shutter speed and quick browsing, face tag and photo tag sorting are some of the key factors that consumers are looking for in their mobile phone cameras. Samsung Pixon12 holds the answer to these pressing consumer needs and more."

The Samsung Pixon12 Main Features Are as Under:
* 3.1-inch AMOLED touchscreen display with a 10000:1 contrast and a 480 x 800 pixel resolution

* Wi-Fi with Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, USB 2.0 (micro)

Samsung Pixon12 has a camera that allows video recording at 720 x 480 pixel resolution at 30fps and although it is not Omnia HD it will still do. Other features embedded in the phone include a 28 mm wide-angle lens, tracking Touch Auto Focus, Smart Auto mode that is ideal for adjusting the light to ambiance, Face, Smile and Blink detection, WDR and beauty shot. What's more the phone is equipped with few scene modes and image stabilization.

Interestingly, Samsung Pixon12 also has a TV-out facility with which users can record a video and watch it directly on TV. The internal memory is a mere 150 MB but the Pixon12 comes with micro SD slot which allows an additional memory of up to 16 GB. The Samsung Pixon12 mobile is priced at Rs. 29,990 /- and is available at all leading outlets.
