Samsung S3650 'Corby': Budget Touch Screen Phone to Be Launched Soon

Samsung is set to launch yet another budget touchscreen phone besides the popular Samsung S5230 Star and the Samsung S5600 Preston. The new budget mobile phone is called Samsung S3650; codenamed 'Corby' which comes in extremely compact and stylish design. The Samsung new phone is slated for a September 10 release.

Samsung S3650 or the Corby, is a small and rounded mobile phone, equipped with a 2 megapixel camera, quad-band GSM connectivity, FM radio, Bluetooth and microSD card slot. The Samsung S3650 is 13mm thin and weighs only 92 grams. Looking at the recent trends in the mobile market, the new Samsung S3650 will come equipped with native social networking integration, including MySpace, Facebook and YouTube.

This budget touchscreen mobile phone is targeted at young consumers and is laced with features like the Bluetooth 2.1, MP3 player, stereo FM radio, 2MP camera, and GSM/EDGE connectivity. The Corby or Samsung S3650 is a good performer and the widget works well. The camera is equipped with a user friendly interface and the NetFront 3.5 web browser is quite fast.
Samsung S3650 is likely to hit Europe before 10 September with a retail price of Rs. 14,000 /- (200 euro). What's more, it has passed the FCC scrutiny, owing to which the US should have it soon. There is however, a sincere hope for a reduced price tag as 200 Euros seems bit too much, especially when its direct competitor is the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic.
