Samsung I7500: Google Android Mobile Phone Unveiled
Samsung has unveiled its first 'Google phone' the Samsung i7500. This Google android phone sports a 3.2inch touchscreen, a 5-megapixel camera and 8GB of internal memory.
Samsung i7500, which is 11.9mm thick, will be available in major European countries starting from June, the company revealed.
Samsung i7500 mobile phone joins two other Google Android handsets already on the market from High Tech Computer (HTC) of Taiwan, the T-Mobile G1 and the HTC Magic. Android handsets from other makers have also been announced.
Samsung i7500 smartphone can connect to mobile phone broadband services through HSPA as well as Wi-Fi.
It is being developed by Google and Android is a smartphone operating system that is meant to make web browsing, especially on Google sites such as YouTube and Google Maps, easy.
Samsung i7500 pricing and the date of release in other parts is not yet revealed. Samsung did not reveal pricing for the handsets nor when the handset will be out in other parts of the world.

World's First Solar Powered Waterproof Mobile Phone by KDDI
A Japanese firm is launching a solar-powered waterproof mobile phone that can be entirely operated by exposure to sunlight.
The new mobile phone is a sunlight-powered mobile, which will be sold by mobile phone company KDDI from June, reports The Telegraph.
Ten minutes of exposure to sunlight is sufficient for a one-minute call or to power the handset in standby mode for two hours. The handset's 80percent battery can be recharged entirely by sunlight as a result of storage technology embedded in the front face of the phone, according to manufacturers.
Marketed as a "green" eco-friendly alternative to conventional mobile phone handsets, the company claims that the device's lack of dependence on standard electricity will help reduce carbon dioxide emission levels.

Motorola Launches FR Series Mobile Phones in India
Motorola recently launched its FR series mobile phones in India touted as the rough and tough mobile phones. The two latest launches in the Motorola FR series dubbed Motorola FR68 and Motorola FR6000 are expected to increase productivity in number of businesses such retail, health care, logistics, transportation, utilities, manufacturing and public safety.
Both the Motorola FR68 and Motorola FR6000 mobile phones are equipped with a 3G world cell phone, an integrated GPS with superior sensitivity and tracking capabilities, 1D bar code scanner, 3G wireless WAN (WWAN), wireless LAN (WLAN), wireless PAN (WPAN) and IrDA connectivity among many others.
In addition Motorola will also provide its FR series customers' service from the first day of the hardware purchase. The scheme includes broken displays and keypads to damages of internal and external components. However, the repair is covered only while the plan is active.
Motorola Country Head & Indian sub-continent Sales Director, Mr. Jayant Rastogi informed that the mobile phone has been approved break-proof and the keypad has passed the stress-test for a million taps. Impact testing across the operating temperature range has been carried out to ensure the Motorola FR6000 and Motorola FR68 performs reliably despite inevitable everyday drops.
Both the Motorola mobile phones will be available later this year and are expected to cost between Rs. 70,000 and Rs. 1,00,000.

Nokia 5530 XpressMusic Touch Screen Mobile to Be Unveiled Soon in India
The mobile industry is rife with rumors that Nokia is gearing up to launch its newest touch screen mobile phone-Nokia 5530 XpressMusic. The new Nokia 5530 XpressMusic mobile is expected to hit the stands by September 2009.
A popular website revealed that the mobile phone is likely to be similar to Nokia 5800 XpressMusic mobile phone and may cost slightly lesser than its predecessor.

Mobile numbers to get 11 digits in India by 2010
The ever increasing numbers of cell phone users have resulted in the all new concept of having an eleven-digit pattern for mobile phone numbers by early 2010. According to mobile Industry sources the subscriber base stood at 376 million by the end of February and another 150-200 million can be added before the 10-digit quota is consumed.
But analysis has confirmed that fifteen million users join the mobile phone club every month, meaning the mobile number quota will be over in 10-15 months. Officials from the DoT (department of telecom) informed that11-digit numbering framework will cause minimum disturbance to existing mobile phone users.
The process of this transition will be made simple by either suffixing or prefixing the existing mobile number. With the advent of the new technologies such as high-speed 3G and firms extending their reach to rural India, the current growth is only expected to expand.
Approximately 250 lakh mobile handsets are likely to be out of service from April 15, as GSM operators spruce up to end connection to cell phones without the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number. This is unique to a mobile phone as every mobile phone has an exclusive 15-digit code, or IMEI, which can be known by keying in *#06#.

LG Launches GM Series 3 Music Mobiles in India
Music mobile phones seem to becoming hot. After Nokia's XpressMusic phone series, Samsung Beat and Sony Ericsson Walkman mobile phones, LG too has launched an array of music mobile phones.
The consumer electronics giant LG Electronics has launched a series of music phones in India. The three new LG music mobile phones: LG GM 310M, LG GM210 and the LG GM205, are aimed at the mid-segment.
As for specs, LG GM310 is a slider mobile fitted with 2.2-inch TFT LCD display with a 240x320 pixel resolution. The phone's connectivity options include EDGE/GPRS and HSDPA support. Other features in this latest LG mobile include 512MB or 1GB of internal memory and a MicroSD card (up to 32GB), a 3.5mm earphone socket, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and a 3 megapixel auto focus camera.
The LG GM210 mobile shares most of the features of LG GM 310 including the form factor. The only big difference is the camera, which is 2 megapixel. The MicroSD card support is too up to 4GB.
LG GM 205 is a candy bar mobile phone. Th LG mobile features most specs similar to the LG GM 210 including the camera, which is the same 2 megapixel as in LG GM210.
All three mobiles are set to make their debuts in the emerging markets first. According to the reports, these will include Asia, Latin America. Pricing details have not been released.
