Huawei launches Ideos X5 and X6 in India

Huawei Technologies announce the launch of two Android smartphones Ideos X5 and X6 in India by mid January. The Huawei mobile phone runs on the Froyo edition of Google's Android operating system. The Huawei Ideos mobile phones have recently forayed into the Australian market.

Speaking on the proposed launch, a Huawei mobiles spokesperson said, "We are planning to launch Android based smartphones Huawei X5 and X6 around the third week of January, and as of now I cannot comment about its pricing."

The Huawei Mobile Phone is likely to have good innings in the Indian market. The innovative Huawei Ideos X5 features a 3.8 inch capacitive touchscreen and an accelerometer. The 5.0 MP cameras with LED flash allow enhanced user experience. The Huawei Ideos accesses broadband internet via WiFi, and HSDPA and HSUPA 3G networks. Additionally the Huawei Ideos comes integrated with assisted GPS.

As the two Huawei Mobiles use the Android OS, the phone comes with really good Google applications. The Huawei Ideos X6 has a 4.1 inch capacitive touchscreen and it supports maximum download speeds of 14.4 Mbps. It also supports high definition video recording and playback, and Dolby mobile surround sound. The phone incorporates the HDMI out port that can be used to connect the phone to a high definition TV. Akin to the Huawei Ideos X5, Huawei's X6 also has a 5.0 mega pixel camera that is enabled with LED flash.

Huawei Mobiles have forayed into the Indian market with 20 handsets. The Huawei mobile phones are divided into two series namely Hangout and Android. Both the versions are powered by Qualcomm`s chipsets. The Huawei mobile phone belonging to the Hangout series includes a full range of trendy and feature rich mobiles that use multiple technologies such as GSM, CDMA and UMTS. They cater to the entry level, medium and mid-high level segments. The Android Huawei mobile phone includes smartphones ranging from the affordable to high end devices on the Android platform. The long list of applications caters to medium and the high end consumer.
